Big Mountain Splendor

I don’t usually do much downhill skiing anymore, but decided to accept a neighbors invite and ride along up to Big Mountain (I guess they have renamed it Whitefish Mountain resort nowadays).I have skied the mountain many times and never seen a more beautiful day on top.imageThis was the view looking towards Glacier Park.

There was a very small crowd on the Mtn. which made for a very fun unobstructed day. Like I say I rarely go anymore, but it was sure worth it this time.image

  1. Looks gorgeous! I am so happy you get to live in such a beautiful state and then you get to go to ND to farm my favorite place I have ever lived-ND! I will always be a ND girl!
We are in CA. right now in Coronado at the Del Coronado. Jarvis has National Grain and Feed Convention here. We have been here four times now and We love it! It has a rich history. It is 128 yrs. old and many presidents as well as movie stars have stayed here, filmed movies here etc. I just found out yesterday it was sold for 6.5 billion to the Chinese. It makes me sad that it is not American owned anymore. Most of CA is owned by the Japanese and now China has become very active in purchasing property here as well.
What I find fascinating about the Del is L. Frank Baum, got his inspiration for The Wizard of Oz while staying here. He started writing the book here and got his inspiration for the Land of Oz from all the vegetation here, the brick court yard walk ways ( the yellow brick road ) etc. The shape and structure of The Emerald City was patterned after the shape of the Del Coronado. At night, when walking on the beach and it is all lit up, it really does look like The Emerald City ( with white lights )
Hope you guys are safely back at the farm and that planting and all of spring’s work goes well!
We miss you guys! Come see us!
